Battle for the Belt (B4B) — 2025 Official Rules
About B4B
Battle for the Belt (B4B) is a competitive airsoft series consisting of 6 main events and 7 Challenger SpeedNights throughout the 2025 season. The series revolves around a championship belt that is controlled and defended by the winning team of each main event.
Key Concepts
Belt Controlling Team (BCT): The team currently holding the championship belt.
Challenger SpeedNights: Special nights where teams can challenge the BCT for control of the belt and a cash prize.
Ever-Changing Format: Each event and SpeedNight may feature a different layout, style, or match structure. It is each team’s responsibility to know the format for the event.
Belt Challenges
Teams may challenge the BCT only on official Challenger SpeedNights.
Challenging teams must pay a $50 entry into the prize pot.
The winner of the SpeedNight match gains control of the belt and takes the prize pot.
Layouts vary each SpeedNight. Teams must adapt quickly.
Field & Gameplay Rules
Field Rules
Players start with their gun inside the breakout wall.
Out of bounds is defined as any area within the Death Tunnel.
Jumping over hip-height bunkers is allowed.
Players may run up doritos.
Moving bunkers is not allowed under any circumstance.
Gun and Fire Rules
Max velocity: 1.2 joules.
Fire mode: 1 trigger pull = 1 shot.
Binary triggers, full-auto, and trigger fingering are not allowed.
Thumb must be wrapped around the grip at all times when firing.
Player Regulations
All players must wear jerseys with a clearly visible number.
Teams must ensure players are properly equipped and follow all gameplay rules.
Scoring System
3 points for first flag pull.
2 points for a successful flag hang.
1 point per confirmed kill.
2-point bonus for a "Clutch"
A Clutch occurs when Team A pulls the flag, but the flag carrier is shot, and Team B picks up the flag and successfully hangs it.
Officiating and Conduct
All matches are overseen by a referee team.
Referee decisions are final — no exceptions.
No arguing, yelling at, or disrespecting referees.
B4B is governed by honesty, sportsmanship, and the integrity of competition.
Players and teams are expected to hold themselves and each other accountable at all times.
Final Notes
The rules and layouts will evolve with each event and SpeedNight.
B4B thrives on adaptation, strategy, and grit.
